"Just Go Up" is a 2D platformer made for the Oct Jamfest 2025 at GMU over the course of 3 days. The theme for the game jam was Mixed Signals. "Just go Up" deliberately confuses the player’s inputs — every time they gain a new ability, the controls are remapped. This creates a sense of disorientation and miscommunication between player and game, embodying the idea of receiving mixed signals while trying to stay in control.

On Just Go Up, I served as Producer and Lead Programmer, leading development during a three-day game jam by coordinating team responsibilities and ensuring critical milestones were met under a strict deadline. I implemented a unique control-remapping system in which each newly acquired ability fundamentally altered player inputs, creating an evolving gameplay experience centered on adaptation and experimentation. I also designed and developed a responsive movement system that encouraged players to creatively combine abilities to navigate obstacles and solve challenges. Throughout development, I focused on removing technical roadblocks, prioritizing features, and ensuring the project was completed and polished within the three-day timeframe.
